  • 'Your basic value theory' applied to the Chinese real estate market is not a great idea. Housing prices keep gettting pushed up in big cities due to Urbanization and (City) population growth. Fixed space, Increasing population = Increase in demand. There's no rule that says Real Estate must always go up in value, and of course, it's idiotic to say that, but in China.. Real Estate is a pretty safe bet, all things considered. There's no other investment here that's as safe as real estate.

I live in a small coastal city within thousands of empty apartments - some of the towers are entirely empty. Many have "for sale" or "for rent" signs in them. According to one study, there are 64 million empty apartments in China. Local governments are goosing GDP numbers by funneling public funds into useless real estate projects. Gold is safer than real estate.

  • You talk about the girl you went on a date with showing you pictures of her mom and asking you if she looks pretty.

I would have reluctantly asked her if she was gauging my interest in a mother-daughter three way. If she said no, I would act relieved that she cleared that up and then say: "well let's not rule anything out"

If anyone got offended I'd play it off as though I was just trying to act open toward other cultures, since they always talk about making their parents happy.

  • This is really interesting-

will you be on this podcast or doing any other interviews again?

  • @clydeshouse

I'll probably be on Chinarchy again - as for other interviews, IDK, I'll take opportunities as I find them. I
