A fun fact, dear, both Axe and Dove are owned by the same company, so as much as the Dove evolution shows reality of media, they are hypocritical. Axe treats women like objects, Dove pretends to care about self-esteem. Yes, always be confident and strong, don't judge a book by it's cover, but do keep in mind, these companies don't care about us.

I would like to share this video for my Communication class. We have a human rights project to present and this video fits perfectly. Not sure how do I ask for permission to share it?

It has a strong resemblance to the piano piece by Carly Comando in the Noah Kalina video "Everyday" (check it out here in youtube). Maybe it's the same composer.

All in all, Unilever's advertising efforts are basically respectable. The advertisement for the Axe line is quite evidently tongue-in-cheek and their Dove campaigns are pretty consistently against-the-grain. Whether it is done with any sort of genuine concern, or to appeal to a sensibility created by a lack of sensibility, it is still commendable. And they release quality products pretty consistently. Sure, don't expect Unilever to babysit your kids, but they aren't the bad guys.

Yes, Dove and Axe are owned by the same company, but they have different people working on the projects. The same people who make the Dove campaigns and the Axe commercials that make women appear as objects are two totally different teams of people.

Ugh I honestly don't want to offend anyone in my opinion people stop being butt hurt by the fact that Dove and Axe are made by the same company and their hypocritical values and blah blah blah because at the end of the day these Dove campaigns DO open our eyes to things that didn't realize before and do make us better about ourselves (or at least they have for me), and isn't that what matters??

Yeah, and? That's exactly what Karina was claiming- that Dove and Axe don't care about women at all, just profit.

You just made a comment about how Dove isn't necessarily bad and then claimed that anyone who advertizes is automatically a fat cat profiteer including nonprofits... um... I don't quite get it. I can't really argue with you unless you pick a side.
