@mashedmatt Funny you should mention that---here's some facts and data. In the organization I worked for half of my colleagues (talented people) loss their lifetime careers while management bloated up their size and power. We were given "change management" and "appreciative inquiry" sessions to make us accept this "change" without protest. The new "executive team" gave themselves fat raises while patting each other on the back for a job -- 'well done'. I prefer JUSTICE over "change management".
'It's so transparent to anyone who is a critical thinker'
Critical thinking entails making judgements based upon weighing facts and data. I suggest you read up more on what change management actually is. It might change your opinion of it
@sweetsweatyfeet These courses are designed to make front line workers conform to change as decreed by management without protest. Just look at the people who designed them---not workers, not scientists, but people who themselves have backgrounds as upper level management, executives and CEOs. Their agenda is to show anyone in management how make their workforce conform to their will---which they call "change".
It's so transparent to anyone who is a critical thinker.
@mashedmatt How do you "force (management) to change their ways" when they will fire your ass at the drop of a hat? The playing field is not level, the game is rigged, the dice are stacked in management's favor because they alone hold the power and your are subordinate to their very whims.
These courses are not designed for you the worker, they are to teach management and the corporate elite how to maintain their power and status; and to continue their self-serving agenda free from restraint.
Not true. Sometimes as a change manager your biggest obstacle is management. You might have to tackle them and force them to change their ways too. It's also one of the best opportunities for the front line workers to get their opinions heard
"BE A CHANGE LEADER!"--- with your tongue up corporate ass while these self serving pigs devise new and improved methods of exploiting front line workers.
Change management is nothing but "do as your told" management authoritarianism disguised as "change".

The title of this video is not quite right. It should say; 'this video gives an overview of the APM change management course'.
