@vodarklord Ronnie was actually talking about skynyrds songs to the charts not about guns and government

BRILLIANT!!!

@SuperGuitaraddict VERY good distinction of "owners intent". EXACTLY what try to get across to all these gun control idiots. HOWEVER... you need to get the terms straight. A "38 special" is a high quality, 38 calibre handgun originally developed by Smith and Wesson. A "Peacemaker" was a 45 calibre colt developed by Colt in 1886. "Saturday Night Special" was a name given to a hand gun of any calibre that was of very poor quality by unknown fly by night manufacturers.

@BoromirGurl26 First of all: I Know RONNIE wrote this song. Me saying that I love Johnny's voice doesn't mean that he wrote this song! I'm just saying that I love Johnny's voice! That's it! Second of all: I'll say and think whatever I want to and if you are truly about "protecting our freedom" you should welcome a discussion! Don't live in a glass house and throw rocks at me! The best way to get your point across is NOT to tell people to shut up.

@dagerback hey Dude! First of all RONNIE wrote this song not Johnny and second of all if you knew anything about the God and Guns Album you'd know it's not about actual guns, it's about protecting our freedom. At least that's what I got out of all the interviews I've watched. So until you have your facts straight don't say anything.

@SuperGuitaraddict Really? "Hand guns are made for killin', they ain't no good for nothin' else"! Hm... how come they never play this song live anymore? Cause it's all about God & Guns these days... I love their music and Johnny's voice but...
This is amazing, i never saw Skynyd do an acoustic gig before, are there many recorded ones out there?

I don't think so, I'm not sure if there are any bootlegs though... They probably only played acoustic back then to promote the endangered species cd.
