The Sonoma print had a blue cover and the paper used was slightly different than the Philadelphia version. Also, the prints were less vibrant than the Philly book, but had a cool "shadow effect" where the image of the tree was visible on the reverse of the page. The 3rd book is in the original plastic wrap, black cover, and a gorgeous red tree on the cover twisting in and around itself. I don't want to take it out of the wrapper. It is number 640/1000. The Philly book was in the 800s.
I have seen 3 of these books, 2 of which I purchased. They are unique and individual, even between themselves. The first I saw was from the Philadelphia library. Of the 2 that I purchased (Amazon), one was a part of the Sonoma library. It was stamped as an "official discard". What were they thinking!? It had slight damage to the cover, but was in good shape. The covers of each book are different; some black, some blue, each w/diff prints. The Sonoma print was missing the Semba tree.
I will give another chance to my comics printing... I would like to learn this technique... light-sensitive outside the darkroom? wow! :) and whats this sensitive-film on a paper? thats great!!
Sorry. I lost interest the moment I saw the computer.

I love this - it combines screen printing with book making. I learned a lot. Very nicely done. I can't wait to own one of these books.
