could you use this for some heavier stuff. I mean like metal or grungey sorta of things like Nirvana/Queens of the Stone Age/ect.... I heard of some people using it for metal but I wasn't sure

Why would anybody dislike this? He's helping people who like me, are interested in learning more about this instrument, hearing what it sounds like and maybe interested in purchasing it. Thanks a lot for the review!

hey man, i was wondering which model you'd think would be best soundwise to be set up specifically for slide? the u2/the 59/63? opinion would be greatly appreciated (: awesome playing!

@sebasian55 - I have a U2 set up for slide, but I think any Dano serves that style of playing because the lipstick pickups deliver a perfect vintage slide sound.

do you know if the korean models sound different from the orignial dc-59 models?

@ox092 - I've never had the pleasure of playing an original. But I guess it will sound similar because the pickup production method is very, very similar, as are the materials used in construction.

such smooth tone. I'm still afraid of the made in China sticker though.

@ox092 - Chinese-made guitars are a lot better these days than they used to be. They're not up to Korean standard yet, but they're getting pretty close. They do tend to load crap strings so get a new set as soon as possible if you buy a Chinese-made instrument.
