In Alaska's water I'd be able to hold my breath like 5% of the time i normally would. I don't see a problem with scuba here...

To all those that are hating about fishing with tanks... Try freediving in a dry suit, see what happens... This is not West Coast where you can get away using a thick wetsuit...
Maybe try doing this first, then voice you valuable opinions about how challenging or not this is.

@dragonslayingclub The average temp of the sea water up here is about 33F, at those temps you can cramp up your entire body and drown. You cant just jump in and snorkel in it like in the lower 48. Its FUCKING COLD lol.

Why are you all such haters? Their sport is not the same as yours, deal with it. I spearfish with and without tanks and have found neither more or less difficult, just different. Try both and then you can talk.
