This is the 4th installment for the My Israeli Reality series. In this video I talk about how people who are, or consider themselves, black or African American are viewed here in Israel and in the Middle East. This is by no means exaustive on the topic. Like with my other videos it is as much of an overview that I can give in a 10 minute time frame.

For more on the subject visit my written blog Hochmah and Musar, The Chronicles of Ehav Ever at http://hochmaumusar.blogspot.com

  • Thanks for your vid! Just curious: were you born in Israel? You speak with an American accent, so I wasn't sure. A couple more questions: Do you ever come across Hebrew Israelites living in Israel? I'm talking about Americans (Black) who moved to Israel about 40 years ago & are still moving. How are they perceived? And finally ... are your ancestors from the Tribe of Judah? Is this why you say you're a "Jew" or is that a more generic term. Thanks again! This vid is really educational.

  • @evethezealot I was born in America, but my family are from Senegal, France, and Spain. My ancestors were mix part of Israel in ancient times. Concerning what tribe. That is up for speculation for some of this at this point. Saying we are Yisraeli is enough. I am not a part of any of the hebrew israelite groups so I don't know much about them.

  • my afro american brother

this problem of dark light skin issue exist

in all black african communities especially in america just google dark skin and u will find out that most of the stuff is come from usa

dark light skin dost issue in ethiopian ppl

cuz in the same family u can see all colors

  • @felashalij I would disagree that the dark skin light skin issue exists in ALL African American communities. There are a lot of communities where it doesn't. Google the issue doesn't do anything because what is on the internet is only a smal microcasim of actual reality.

  • that ethnic thing is a big problem for blacks. One thing about blacks they like to do is distance themselves from each other.

  • @Ehav4Ever

( אם כן, אז מזל טוב!! (קצת באיחור

-אנחנו לא מכירים,אבל אני זוכר אותך מהכתבות שכתבת וערכת בwikipedia

. לפני כמה שנים על יהדות מערב אפריקה

  • @redarrowhead2 The funny thing is though that a majority of Africans don't even meet that kind of physical criteria. Besides there are scientists who claim that all humans come from monkeys. I think of all that stuff is just political fodder for the ages.

  • @felashalij It's not just the skin. It's the culture, the social habits, the inherited intelligence, the physical characteristics (nose shape, forehead slant, etc). There is a reason why people say that blacks are similar to monkeys. I'm not saying that they are, but I am saying that is a reason why throughout history racism has occurred and blacks were labeled this and that. There are reasons for everything and racism will always exist.

  • Hahahaha you like yemenight music :D I am Yemenight lol you hear i think hmm Zion Golan :D
