This song reminds me of my best Friend Max lewis the 3rd, who is over seas, enlisted as a Marine. The lyrics " the window burns to light the way back home " refers to when young men would go to war and their home towns would leave lamps/windows lit until they came home. Other parts refer to veterans with PTSD, soldiers who think " mama they try and break me " is about the trauma/stress of combat crying for their mothers and home. Whatever it means, you're the Hero of the day Max. Come home soon.

Really? " Pop "? " Pop " music is that shit about drugs, parties, drinking, women, all the shit rappers and pop stars sing about now, save a few occasional" be yourself " songs. This song is about the despair and sadness of war.....tell me how in sam hell that makes this a " pop " metallica song.

Because if i'm not mistaken, it has nothing to do with pop at all. It's a more sensitive song from a sensitive album that deals with alot of life's harder aspects and sadness. It's STILL METALLICA.
