If you want to see the latter intro mentioned in your comment, pick up the Bewitched Season 8 set.

The narrator sounds like Dick Tufeld, who also narrated Lost In Space and was of course the voice of the robot from that programme too.

Oscar Mayer became one of the series' "alternate sponsors" in the fall of 1969 (after Chevrolet and Quaker Oats discontinued their sponsorships), along with Eastman Kodak and Bristol-Myers. The "in color" bumper was retired after the 1969-'70 season.

the openings were originally animated by Hanna- Barbera, but wasn't mentioned in the credits. They also appeared in a Flintstones episode. They did the original opening for I Love Lucy (before the 'heart handwriting' opening we knew from syndication).

Now THIS is a network I want on MY cable system. Do they run a lot of classic TV programs the way they originally appeared -- sponsors, bumpers et al? TERRIFIC!
