  • Does it matter how you work out? Could I happy dance for an hour instead of running?

  • What is the best way to just stay healthy if you just don't have the time to make the best choices in the morning making your lunch or eating breakfast?

  • soy beans help because they have a lot of vegetable protein. be careful though if you are a woman too much could affect your estrogen.

  • YEs it matters how you work out. Cardio burns fat yeah but strength training expedites weight loss. Also, don't forget stretching to make sure that your muscles stay limber.

  • One other thing that you could do is pack foods that are healthy that are shelf stable so that you do not have to worry about refrigerating your food. Apples with nuts and grapes are a good choice. I used to go to college too and the colleges do not really have health conscience food choices. Most of the time, they only have sugar loaded crap or fattening fried foods. pack a lunch to avoid those public pitfalls.

  • Yes you do pack a lunch-also check out Tosca Reno's book THe Eat Clean Diet. Also check out her column in her husband's magazine Oxygen.

  • My workout trainer says I need to eat my three meals and two snacks. My question is what constitutes a good healthy snack? I ask because where I come from cheez puffs and snickers are considered snack and those are exactly the things that I'm trying to stay away from!

  • Question:

I'm finishing my freshmen year of college and I found it really hard to eat well with the VERY limited options. The only somewhat healthy choice their is is salad and you can only have so much salad before going crazy. I've also been doing an hour spin class 3 times a week. With having very skinny friends and really bad self control, I'm finding myself gaining weight constantly. What do you suggest to help lose weight (for health reasons) when in a difficult setting like college?

  • Yay, you're back!

I read an article that coffee eases the pain of exercising. I would like to believe this. I was wondering if any foods make exercise easier, or if those energy boosting diet pills really work, because the acai ones do nothing for me.

  • So happy you are back. I remember you said one of the first things your nutritionist said was that you were not eating enough. My question is how do you know how many calories you should eat when attemping to get leaner?
