Jose Feliciano perform the 1969 Hit charted at nr.6 on the Dutch Hitparade "No Dogs Allowed" live released on the Alive Alive-o! RCA Album (charted at nr.1 in Dutch Album Parade in april 1970) and now finally on CD!
I heard this song on the radio by chance a couple of months ago. It made such an impression that I looked it up on the Internet as soon as I got home. What an artist!
Feliciano was due to perform in the United Kingdom, but the authorities would not allow his guide dog into the country unless it was in quarantine for six months. The stringent quarantine measures of those days were intended to prevent the spread of rabies. Feliciano later wrote this song entitled "No Dogs Allowed", which told the story of his first visit to London
