this is how i see it
Lucrecia = Vincents Aeris
Yuffie = Vincents Tifa
Shelke = Vincents Denzel
i think thats a good comparison. Lucrecia was taken from him and they never had there love like Cloud and aeris.
Yuffie looks out for Vincent and protects him and hides her feelings but we know how she really feels like we do with Tifa.
and Shelke helps him move on from Lucrecia but more in a child friend way, not romantic cos i mean noo eww, and shes a new character like Denzel.

the real thing is,Lucrecia got married with Hojo before she met Vincent,and then she got intimate with him.Until one day Hojo "killied" Vincent.Since Vincent got intimate with Lucrecia after Hojo's marriage,there's a possibility that Vincent is the real father of Sephiroth eventhough Squeenix denied it.
