Destiny is a god among machines.
Name a ship that can operate for 50 million years, bath in stars, and break the laws of relativity.

Its so good to see Ha'tak ships , made with a more modern technology , love the design !

@bonecrime Also having that song play would have triggered that thought too >.<

@bonecrime Well this issue reminds me of the movie Sunshine. Bad science but cool story.

This is cool!

@kamil7910 Yes agreed the shield might take care of the strong light so people dont get blinded when they're looking out. But what's stupid is how you can see the light coming from the ship's windows, considering just how much brighter the star would be. What you would see for real is probably just a black silhouette of the ship, due to the extreme contrast. But yes, I know, it's just supposed to look cool and people aren't supposed to think about it. But I do.

@bonecrime Well, the Ancients were quite advanced civilzation. I believe they had a filters or something in these windows. If they don't, they were just stupid as much as they mistake was. Propebly they do something for caution :D

I know it's fiction ... but really. Didn't they realize how strong the light is that close to a star? I like how you can still see the interior lighting of the ship through the windows while the ship's refuelling. :D

To the publisher of this video: very good choice about the music! Sunshine is a great movie indeed and I'm happy that someone also loves it.

elsewhere.
Actors are perfect for their roles and direction is awesome: those intense closeups are something requiring absolute perfection on both sides of the camera.
I'm deeply sorry that money issues put an end to this series.
I hope someone, before or later, change his mind and a new season would be produced, at least to put an end to the story and give SGU the honor it deserves. But I'm not too optimistic.
Good science fiction dies with this show. It's the last of something I fear will not be seen for a very long time. An argumentative scientist bent on his ideals, a military commander who has questioned his own leadership abilities, people who could not get along in the beginning but become a family. Good story telling, characterization, and plot devices. SyFy can claim all the numbers they want but they hide behind a change in demographics. It's a flimsy excuse that they have sold out.

Destiny is the most beautyful ship in the stargate series. I hope they will continue the series, and we will see much more from the ship.
