T1&2 revolutionary. T3 insulting rehash of T2 that completely ignores parts of T2 and pisses on Cameron's canon. It was made just so Arnold could pay for his run for governor.
T4 ridiculous plot holes (how can SkyNet know who Kyle and Connor are?) but at least it tried something different.
Ending should have been: Connor gets an artificial heart. That would make a good ironic philosophical point.
Good discussion btw.
How bout a show on Mad Max or neo noir SF (Blade Runner, Dark City etc)?

Foltz hit's the nail on the head! "Rise of the Machines" and "Salvation" are popcorn flicks. Popcorn flick being a big budget, mindless entertaining film geared towards a mass audience. They don't really bring anything new to the table they are simply meant to entertain fans of the series. Whereas T1 and T2 are literally works of art and were original concepts at the time.

agree that The Terminator is the best Cameron's film

Did you all ever consider that maybe your show would be far more popular and successful if you didn't have 2 pompous douchebags sneering down their noses the entire time and not even trying to contribute to the conversation past saying "you're wrong"? Jesus, it's like watching a 9th grade debate sometimes.

The thing about Terminator: Salvation is that, on its own, it was a fairly good action movie with some good ideas. But as a Terminator movie......It sucked. Didn't work well at all with the entries before it, and honestly, it's one of the few times I've been bored by a Christian Bale performance.

T2 in my opinion is Jame's Cameron's best movie ever

Arnold should have played the villain in more movies.

"It's a huuuuuuge plothole!"
"That was cute."
LOL, best part of the video.

exactly, they gave a false impression from trailer. It was a shite film in every respect. Bale is and should be embarrassed.

And as for the "different look" of Salvation, it was 2018, not 2029 (the date that we see Cameron's vision of the future). It's also a different future than that one. Judgment Day happens at a later date and differently. So there are no plotholes. Salvation was very well done. I actually didn't fully appreciate it until the second time I saw it because I had a much different expectation thanks to the epic trailer that made it seem like a different type of film.
T3 was grim? Right.

@metfilmguy2009 Thank you for watching the show. I hope you'll continue to enjoy the show. We don't have the largest fanbase, but the people who like the show are really loyal, which is something we appreciate and why we continue to do the show.
