Bamboo saw friction fire using Fishtail Palm tender and elephant dung kindling. If the bamboo is dry and the tender is of a high quality and dry, this is a very quick way to start a fire.

  • @gavin310 - It's really easy to get to the smoke stage. Getting to the ember stage takes a LOT more time and pressure. If it's moist outside, this is a poor technique for starting a fire... as with most friction-based techniques. When it's perfectly dry though, this is pretty cool and rather easy.

  • Can't believe how quickly that started smoking. Very cool.

  • @damien2524 - Khao Sok National Park. It's where I do most of my jungle survival training courses.
