Alice In Chains Live in Dallas Texas. Would? a classic Alice In Chains tune. Trust me I know there are better classic chains songs. But visually they died with Layne. And I am really not interested in everyone ripping on William DuVall the new singer in the comment section. This song features Jerry on vocals more so then William. These guys deserve to move on, and if you ask me they are doing a really good job at it!

  • Good job. It's never easy when trying to cover a legend. NO ONE could sing this song like Layne did.

  • I agree

  • Duvall can't do those grungy aggressive vocals like Layne did.. Still good with everything else.

  • I agree, Layne was an original that is for sure! Duvall has some pipes, he can definitely sing, and I give him credit for taking on Alice In Chains.

  • Will may not be Layne, but he does fit just like Brian Johnson in AC/DC

  • My sister got to see them (so jealous!) and she said, "If I didn't know Layne was dead, I wouldn't know Layne was dead!" William sure does a good job on this song. This is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE AIC song! I'm so glad they found such a good singer!

  • @coolbeans46n2 - Layne wrote at least the lyrics (and often the music) for...let's see here..."Man in the Box," "Am I Inside," "Hate to Feel," "Angry Chair," "Rotten Apple," "Nutshell," "I Stay Away," "Sludge Factory," "Head Creeps," "Again," "Frogs," etcetera & so forth. Cantrell's contributions are essential, but Staley wrote wrote many of the band's most unforgettable classics.

    (BTW, I'm LOVING DuVall's vocals!)

  • i dont see how you can relate kurt to layne kurt wrote all of nirvanas songs layne wrote like two aic songs jerry cantrell is and always will be alice in chains and they kik major ass live if u wanna dog will see him live u might change ur mind.

  • @PaulyCobain27 So you're saying because Alice in Chains is trying to make their music heard by the masses again, it's a bad thing?

Yea, no one can do Chains music like Layne, but Duvall does a damn good job singing it.

  • duvall look like michael jackson in 80's

  • im real sorry but i hate the fact alice in chains decided to get a new singer, u cant replace layne man, thats like geting a new kurt cobain or john lennon u just cant im glad their trying to keep on but ill never buy a new alice in chains cd i have no respect for this new guy man.

  • Jerry, how much do you miss Leyne?

  • I'm sure Jerry misses Layne SOOOO much!!

  • so the black is the new singer right?

  • @FunLovingCriminals77 I knew you weren't, I was just answering your question of where he came from and/or what bands he was in :)
