A quick tutorial on how to get your video to fit the new Youtube widescreen size with Sony Vegas. I actually screwed up when I was saving this and put 368 instead of 360, so there are black edges on the video here. Lol, so don't be like me and mess up the dimmensions :P 640x360!!

  • Why do you set the video size to 640x360 instead of 1280x720 (YouTube widescreen recommended size)? Does it make the file size smaller or something?

  • 640x360 is widescreen and HQ. 1280x720 is widescreen and HD

  • Which is better?

  • Well, I personally use HD because the resolution is higher, but everyone has their own preferences.

  • I did everthing the video asked me too but I was wondering why the audio sounds weird? Like it doesn't sound clear.

  • Simply might be the quality of the audio. If it's not the file itself and the rendering changed it, then go to the audio tab when you open up your render properties and fool around with the settings there

  • Thanx a lot for the tutorial! Better try it out ;D

  • Never mind. I made the same mistake as you XD

  • Hey man, great tutorial. I followed exactly everything you did, but I have those vertical black lines. Should I use a different setting than 640 x 360?

  • Glad I could help =)
