Dentro de muy poco los argentinos y los uruguayos se van apelear, si quien invento la coca cola, si los argentinos o los uruguayos asi como se pelean por el mate, sin embargo el mate no es un invento de nadie es cultura ancestral de los guaranies, que ya utilizaban antes del descubrimiento de America, y eran los guaranies establecidos en lo que hoy es Paraguay, de donde se expandio por toda la region mediante los jesuitas en el siglo 17 por lo que el mate es autenticamente del Paraguay,gracias.

El mate no es ni de Argentina ni de Uruguay es de Paraguay, por eso el nombre cientifico de la yeba mate es "Ilex paraguayensis", no es argentinensis tampoco uruguayensis, por favor respeten la cultura del Paraguay, andan que si es argentino o uruguayo, la yerba mate y sus derivados es una cultura ancestral del pueblo guarani, y quienes son los guaranies? los argentinos, los uruguayos NO!!! son los paraguayos por favor.

My girlfriend is from Argentina, she showed me this video to show me one of her family's traditions and teach me a little bit about her culture. I think it is a wonderful thing, I just don't see why it matters where it originated, just that it is there and people over the majority of South America drink it. Thinking of it in that sense, the drink is passed down by families and I am sure every culture had its own variation on it, and every family has their own spin on that.
