http://www.tweetakt.net/#/nl/tweetakt-muziek (het heeft niet echt een logische volgorde ofzo.. maar ik sta er wel tussen :-) 19:30 begin ik, daarna volgt Eefje, en dan komt André Manuel. (The Dutch talk, is about a festival I'm playing at this wednesday. But since, I guess, none of the english speaking people are in Holland, I was saying it in Dutch :-))

Lyrics:

I met him during, the second world war
I wore glasses, he wore a scar
He told me I looked like his mother
who he'd loved very much
I told him he looked like my brother
who had always liked to touch, me

And we made love, in the room
in which we would die
And we made love in that room
only God knows why

Clocks were ticking, or was it, a bomb?
People were singing, or was it crying all along?
Time was ticking away, both too slow and too fast
Sometimes we yearned for the future
sometimes we wished for the past

And the working would set us free
but all it did was killing me
but I'm not saying that they lied
'cause in the end the were right

He gave me his number, for they had taken his name
I showed him mine, it was almost the same
And he smiled the only smile he remembered,
like a star too far away
and he told me, if you mix all the colors
you'll end up with black and gray

And it was those two colors
that filled our lives
Not only our minds and bodies
but also the skies

I met him during, the second world war
I wore glasses, he wore a scar
He told me I looked like his mother
and that his heart was all mine
I told him he would be a father
if it weren't for time

  • Could you post the chords for the left hand? Thanks! :D

  • @Eofore I don't know if it's correct 'cause I play it mostly on the piano now so I might've changed it a bit, but for the A-part its: Gmin - Eb - Bb - F

And then for the B-part its: Cmin - Gmin - Bb - F

    :D

  • Laat die accordeon nou boeren?

  • @RobertWortel Eigenlijk wel ja

  • ....how come I check your page immediately after you go on stage!? Will I never manage to see you live?! muah... at least I can keep listening and watching these videos for hours :)

  • 1TPony my first impression of you was as a waif like Audrey Hepburn who starved as a teenage during the Dutch Famine of 1944 When you began the song I saw it transform you into an emotive, caring, singer. You moved me to look up the words to the song Love and War as some of the words, for instance in the first line instead of scar I "heard" star and knew it did not fit. Thanks for being on YouTUBE, your talent, and your expressive face. Thanks. HarOLD

  • same as always, you make me smile, and i hope to see you get some tracks in a studio.

  • incredible, thumbs up girl continue in the same wayy :)))))

  • and before a forgot, dutch people:machlachlechlu chlachla utrecht :D

  • I'm always impressed when your playing starts falling apart but your singing goes on almost untouched. I can't imagine not messing one up and having the other follow suit =]

  • waarom trouw je niet met japperd?

    klinkt als een leuke jongen
