I thought he retired, he's been working as an announcer in the Gardens since the early 50's, if not late 40's when he started.

Well its possible. He's still alive although he's apparently not on very good terms with the Leafs organization.

Ya I also heard that clip, it's just because of game night ceremonies honoring decades past. It's not like he was actually announcing a min left there, just a recording.

I'm very proud of the Leafs getting their momentium back after losing against Carolina. We had luck in this game. Washigton might be very fatigue after Friday's game vs Habs and Ovi just coming off from injury we got very luck here. Continue the spirit Leafs! GO! LEAFS GO!
