Well, drawing those you know is very difficult, bec ause what you see conflicts withyour preconceptions of those individuals. Stick to copying drawings for starters, and learn the line techniques. Then, you will be able to draw with confidence.

Some drawing book ask for let's say pencil 6b and 2b to have a particular surface for example drawing an animal's fur, with the two diffrent shades giving the appearance. How do you do that with you particular Staedler chiseled point pencil ?

You can get 6B or 2B leads for Staedtler. THey are interchangable. THat is the beauty of the lead holder. The chisel is made not by the pencil, but the sand paper pad.

Mr. Haverly, I've always had problems with drawing faces but thanks to your advice, I feel inspired to have a go again. Also, your voice is so relax and friendly, you are an excellent teacher. Vey inspirational. Wish we had your programmes over here in England.
