as to the shema, how can i love someone who i dont respect? god has treated me very wickely and has revealed himself to me. but when he treats others wickedly he does so through a disguise: eg. it was the drunk driver who killed your family, not me.

Because if you are, and I think you might be, then you should know the Sh'ma. You obviously have a grudging fear of Him, your problem is you don't love Him, you are to love Him with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength.
