@JackTarJakst3R In his memoir he clearly states that he senses there is more to focus on in the next stage of his life than banging his head on stage with Megadeth ("Not that I don't enjoy it.") -- he's done this for 30 years. Now he's ready to explore some other things. It's his life. Good for him. Recorded music lives on forever, so there will always be Megadeth to listen to. Personally I'm looking forward to seeing what he does next. Go Dave!

Dudes! He said "it's close", not "I'll retire tomorrow".. Megadeth has been around for almost 30 years, so "it's close" could mean to him in maybe two or three years after releasing maybe one or two new records. Of course it's not cool that he speaks of retirement, but don't overexaggerate it! In fact, Dave said that he believed this was right now the best linup ever and he wants to continue with the guys, so what?
