Do you think I don't know what I'm talking about? I'm a sympathizer who is letting you know the consequences of taking for granted the beauty of the earth around you. If you mountain people don't start caring about the land you live on, then some urban professional yuppie from up north is gonna buy your land out from under your feet, develop it all and leave you with nothing. This is what mining those mountains will eventually lead to. The big money people will come to end your way of living.

....and then you appalachian people will have to deal with not only the destruction of those beautiful mountains, not only with the poisoning of your water and flooding or risks of slurry containments failing, but when the elite yuppies come to help you clean up the environment there, they will also start taking your land away to build their ugly urban sprawl, and your appalachian way of life will end.

Now, how much are your appalachian hearts worth? Are you mountain people or subservient mice?

The people in Appalachia who are ignorant of the real damage this mountain top removal is causing are also unaware of what will become of their life and culture. People who are working on those mines don't realize that not only are you engaging in destructive behavior, but your whole culture and traditions will end too. Once you level those areas, then yuppie families start moving in, turning appalachia into a yuppie snobby city like culture, building malls and condos......continued...,.
