Here is the Open Source cnc software EMC2 driving a small servo motor using a small PWM amplifer based on L298 H-bridge. The PID is internal to EMC2 so you don't need expensive hardware.

  • I have a few 12VDC servo motors and I would love to put them to use in my (sherline) CNC mill only I don't know anything about servo motors, just stepper motors. could any of you guide me in the right direction? Where can i find a site that may have a homemade system that I may be able put together, parts list and all?

    um using unlc2803 chips to convert the signal to voltage to motor...it has built in diaods for voltage feed back..

    as a newbie why do you have a big ass capasitor????

  • Quant'è bella la musica dei motori in controllo retroazionato, sembra che cantino. Non vorrei sbagliarmi, ma sei il primo in Italia ad aver mostrato una mf70 cncizzata e il primo ad aver mostrato i servo con emc2. Continua così che vai forte!
