The Zombies, formed in 1961 in St Albans, were an English rock band. Led by Rod Argent on piano and Colin Blunstone on vocals, the band scored US hits in the mid- and late-1960s with "She's Not There", "Tell Her No," and "Time of the Season." Their 1968 album Odessey and Oracle, comprising twelve songs by the group's principal songwriters, Argent and Chris White, is now considered one of the best of its time and is ranked 80 on Rolling Stone Magazine's list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.

  • the zombies are by far the greatest band of all time. They are so underrated.

  • Now there is also many underrated band's.

And btw: there is many many rock, blues, pop-rock, band's from 60's wich are great, but 99% of musicfans never heard about them.

  • It's a Zombies original, not a cover. But it has a timeless, classic quality to it that makes it hard to believe that this song wasn't the big hit that it deserved to be back in the '60s.

  • @jrh98033 : They wrote most of their music as did the Beatles. Unfortunately, before or shortly after Odessey and Oracle came out they had disbanded. The three best albums from the 60's would be Sgt Pepper, Pet Sounds and Odessey and the Oracle which was a masterpiece.

  • IThe Zomnbies are awesome . Shes not there was a huge number one hit when I was in the 4th grade and one of my all time favorite 60''s songs - MY band does that and She's not there. I saw Rod Argent at teh Fillmore West in 1970 open for John Mayall - Saw the Zombies in 2006 in Charlotte - But people get real NO BAND can touch the BEATLES - no one even comes close !!!!

  • I like The Beatles and The Zombies but I prefer The Zombies. There is something different about them. Well that is what I think.

  • I am 14 years old and I think I'm in love.

  • let the dead rest and enjoy their music.

  • anyone know who wrote this one? sounds like an argent but iv been fooled before...

  • @hakeelon Considering that the Zombies recorded Odessey and Oracle at Abbey Road Studios "...where earlier in the year The Beatles had recorded Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band and Pink Floyd recorded The Piper at the Gates of Dawn...," I think the Zombies were contemporary with the Beatles. Despite the Zombies' start in 1961, they didn't get big until 1968 after Odessey. The Beatles "invaded" America in 1964.

  • i cant believe that no one heard of this band....they deserve much more publicity ,,,,i guess the beatles took over

  • @jbounds12 Great blues song???

  • a classic!
