HTC HERO Sprint Overview

Up for auction I have a 1 month used Sprint HTC Hero (bad esn), the phone is in great condition like new includes original box and charger. the phone runs android 2.1 and has Wifi. The Phone has a clear screen protector installed and the only blemish on it is a tiny scuff on the bottom corner (large Photos below)

Reason for sale and bad esn:

I Got this phone new from the Sprint store using a friends existing contract so i wouldn't have to make a new contract myself. I paid for all of my expenses of course, but what my friend failed to tell me was that he already had an outstanding balance of $300 because of some international calls he made. I was able to use the phone for a month before service was canceled due to non payment. I waited 3 months for him to pay and he didn't, so the contract was automatically canceled until he pays Sprint The phone has been tucked away in a drawer ever since. The phone will remain unusable on the sprint network until he pays thus the bad esn, however if he does eventually pay the balance the phone will be available for use once more. I love this phone and I hate to let it go but I must recover at least some of the money I Invested.

This phone is great for flashing to another carrier or you could even use it as an Mp3 player and take pictures and video with the 5 Megapixel Camera (has auto focus)! You can still download and use apps and games using a Wifi connection and connect to the Internet as well

can i crack it n use it in india....

bad esn means only i can not call or use d services of d carrier????

@gr8bhavin100 remember this phone and all phones that use esn numbers run on cdma technology basically they dont use sim cards but if you have a carrier in india that is cdma you could in theory flash the phone to that carrier and use it no problem here in america what they usually do is flash sprint phones with bad esns to carriers like criket and metro pcs which are also cdma carriers

so u bought it on ebay with no contract, and did you have to start a plan for you to activate it? or could u just activate it without a contract or plan and use it on wi-fi and use it like a ipod touch (wi-fi only, without a plan or contract) //??/ just wondering cause i might be intrested in buying a android version of a ipod touch. because i like androids operating system more that apple's ios. thank u for your time

@0317Stanley you could easily do that buy one on the older android phones and just use it on wifi you can still dowmload apps and such and listen to music etc and if you root it even better

Yes, you can use/activate/flash this phone in any other country that uses CDMA technology.. I sell a lot of phones in ebay with bad esn's to international buyers...

@0317Stanley you could also just jailbreak an itouch and put the android software on it also everything on a jailbroken idevice is free
