John Fitzsimmons performs the classic Sandsational rope routine as homage to the "grandfather" of rope magic George Sands. George was known as the creator of rope magic and was one of John's great teachers.

  • For those who wish to know this is the Original Sandsational Rope routine as taught to me by George Sands. I do it in every show verbatim as homage to my great teacher. The "NOT" so magical part mentioned above was and still is my favorite part of the whole trick. I respect your opinions and thank you for the nice comments.

  • nice job!! I do richard sanders' take on this effect in fiber optics

  • John, excellent job! I too had the priviledge of knowning George and many times saw him do his "great grandfather" of many of today's rope routines. You, my friend, do him proud. (Allan in Tucson)

  • I remember seeing geroge do this trick in his lecture when I was just a kid. I've always liked it and it's a delight to see it after so many years!

  • i will be making a video on my magic account called DarkMagicOnline me and superdude930 work on it

  • magic is fun to do when u know how and that makes this less cool to watch because i knew how he did all of that

  • It's fun to watch this gentleman performs, but I think the last gag is a bit too "NOT" magical as a finale. I like his persona though.

  • Nice routine and comedy, I love the clean finish to the shoelace bit (if you know what I mean)..!
