@JamesRideout123 I never said evolution was "great"...I said it was the best, most scientifically sound explanation for man's existence. And as much as Creationists can poke at it, they shouldn't pretend that their "theory" is its scientific equal or superior, as the evidence for Creationism is non-existent.

And in my profile pic, I look pissed off for the same reason that I look 20 years older than I actually was at the time. I'm an actor, and I was playing a character.  ;)

@jamesoblivion There is only overwhelming evidence for micro evolution not macro evolution. Science is things that can be repeatably demonstrated using the Scientific method. You cannot repeatedly demonstrate animals giving birth to different kinds of animals. You can witness them giving birth to different species but the Bible never said that couldn't happen.

@JamesRideout123 Ironic you should say this, as it's precisely what Creation "science" does. Either that, or Creationists are simply stubborn and naive, rather than deceptive. Either way, they dismiss any and all evidence that points to evolution (and such evidence is overwhelming)...not for scientific reasons, but for the reason that it does not fit into their established worldview. Meanwhile, they twist selective data to prop up a predisposed belief. That is not science.

@JamesRideout123 A circle is a two-dimensional shape. A disc. And since the devil took Jesus to the top of a mountain, from which he could observe "All the kingdoms of the world," that must have been a very high mountain, and a very flat circle. The Earth is also said to be built upon a foundation of pillars...implying a flat construction. Certainly not a sphere.

At least you don't try to deny that the Bible says the sun moves around an immovable Earth.

@JamesRideout123 Creationism is not science. Science is a process whereby data leads to new discoveries, thereby shaping a view of the world. Creationism, meanwhile, seeks to make the world conform (or appear to conform) to an old story, written by anonymous men, thousands of years before the dawn of modern science. It begins with a belief that the believer feels cannot be disproven...if the evidence counters it, he reasons, then the evidence is wrong. This is not science.

@JamesRideout123 Yes, a majority of people used to believe that the world was flat...because religion told them so. Science then proved that the earth is spherical. Religion also taught that the Earth does not move, and cannot be moved...that it is a fixed point in God's universe. Science later proved that the Earth NEVER STOPS MOVING.

As for where is the evidence for evolution...everywhere. There is a TON of evidence for it. Where is the evidence for creationism?
