I take it to move forward/backwards you have to let it 'fall' slightly correcting it's balance with adjusted light sensor values.

wow, whats the remote control program? ive gotten balancing down but controlling it just baffles me.

we have made the joystick with an other NXT, look at nxc guide to know about bluetooth comunication between 2 NXT, or go to the site in the comment for the source code.
