It has been over a month since the Occupy Wall Street movement began. Protesters hold signs with different messages and call out chants against the establishment. If given a chance what would they tell the one percent? Lori Harfenist gives the protesters a chance to speak their mind.

  • @356pla true enough. but banks are merely an idea. the people i see living in the woods and by the river or in their cars are real. i guess it is true they are living in the best environment they could find. myself i live in the woods in a trailer. is ok in the summer but in the winter not so good. the snow is getting closer every day.

    thanks and bless.

  • Join the mob and fight.

  • Notice they demand help from those they disparage?

  • @bradq Banking, one of the most regulated sectors of the marketplace, has been the instrument co-opted and used by governments since the beginning of time, to feed a political machine. Like people, banks find what is to their best advantge in the enviroment they find themselves in.

  • @SeppLainer As I said, dogmatic dismissal of government intervention won't get you anywhere except to the marginalized, fringe right-wing

You would be hard pressed to find people who would see the New Deal as a fascist intervention. It was a program that consisted of thousands of different measures, ranging from investment in public infrastructure, purchasing orders at companies and war production to stronger labour rights and trade unions so as to create purchasing power and a will to consume

  • @atosafi1

Intervention in "any way"? No sir, the intervention taken was purely fascist. There are some forms of intervention that are very much the government's role...Such as enforcement of contracts, and staying neutral. It is because the government got involved in the housing market, that led to the bubble and subsequent burst. And it was the government's bailouts that have led us to more debt, wasted money, higher inflation, and a lingering recession.

  • George Washington wrote about the gold standard. How they were all having a hard time paying their bills without the gold. and once they went back on the gold standard things smoothed out for every one. behind every world problem lies the banks

  • GOGOGO, De la Vega, I love his message!
