@bsababha Thanks man. That was very useful info. What if I use an AVR controller instead of a dsPIC here, whats so special about the dsPIC controller
-
1 CCD Camera, 2 servo motors, a dsPIC microcontroller, a Matlab program to read and process the video coming from the camera. and send the pixel error to the dsPIC through a serial link.
the dsPIC was programed with Matlab simulink Real time workshop.
two PID controllers were implemented on the dsPIC to control the two servos, one for each axis. and a digital filter to smooth the servos motion.

What all did you use to do that dude ?

You used a dsPIC development board right ?
Is is n ecessary to use a development board or can we just use a normal microcontroller ??

@spellboundthoughts
i used the dsPIC because it was available, and because i had the RTW (Teal Time Workshop) for the controller in simulink. and i didnt want to write c or assembly, i wanted to use simulink. but any microcontroller with serial input and two output compares or two pwm modules should do it.
