  • My 4th grade teacher, Ms. Harris, sent the students home early so that we could catch it on TV before it ended. She didn't want us to miss this historic moment in history.

I made it home a little after 2pm and turned on the television to KTVU (Fox affiliate in the Bay Area).

I saw something I never saw in my life....a Black man speaking on the steps of the Nation's Capital to almost 2 million other Black men.

  • talk about inspiration!!!

  • @blackamoor009, its no shock $ is your concern...but accomplishment??? well, still to this day in the hearts & minds of many the spirit of the march lives on brother for one. the accomplishment is on our shoulder's whether we take it or shrug it off.....repeat after minister: I STATE YOUR NAME!!!!

  • @Caucasianpride1 I'm white and i don't understand how you can be that racist. Your the type of scumbag the world has had enough of.

  • a little redundant but okay

  • Farrakhan turnd out & shut down the U.S govt Capital in DC on this day. He shut down all 4 branches of the govt(Congress closed, Senate closed, Supreme court closed, the White Hse got shut down- Pres. Clinton leftd twn & went to Houston). He turnd out that White man House & lefted it black & even had those white folks give it a Muslim name(Obama). He did it with out even bringing a can of paint; now that's BLACK MAGJIC! Whn I got thr frm SF Bay Area & saw over 2mil heads, I was in Shock & AWE!

  • I was there and I will never forget.

  • @Blackamoor009 ..Probably to deal with the inevitable haters, the MMM was the only march I know of to give an independent and public financial audit. You can read it at TinyURL[DOT]com/mmm-audit

  • Can anybody name one significant accomplishment that came from the Million Dollar March? What did Farrakhan do with all that money?

  • i remember my mom made me stay home from school so we could watch this on tv LOL

  • @j0nblz And now we have OBAMA baby in the White House and everything is going to hell in a hand basket. WAY TO GO !!! YEAH !!!! LOL

  • @TheLizardKing1967: Among some good was: Following the March, The National Association of Black Social Workers reported a flood of 13,000 new applications to adopt Black children............... 1.5 million Black men registered to vote in the months following the March................... Black social, civic and religious institutions reported sharp membership increases...... It also directly challenged the image of Black men portrayed around the world by mainstream (White) corporate media.
