Marcello Serpa

Studied visual and graphic arts in Germany and worked at the agencies GGK and R.G. Wiesmeir. In Brazil, he also worked at DPZ and DM9DDB.
Since 1993, he has been a partner in AlmapBBDO, together with José Luiz Madeira, where he is general creative director.
As the most awarded art director in Brazil, he won the first Grand Prix in Latin America at the Cannes Festival in 1993, and was the most awarded creator in the history of the São Paulo Creative Club Year Book.
Marcello has been elected the best creative director at El Ojo de Iberoamerica by professionals from all Iberian-American countries 8 times.
In 2000, he was the youngest TV and Press juror at Cannes. He also presided the Jury at the D&AD, London Festival, Ad Fest, in Thailand, and twice at the Clio Awards.
Marcello has won 74 Lions at Cannes and 25 Clios as creator and creative director.
In 2008, he was the first Latin professional to receive the 2008 Lifetime Achievement Award at the Clio for his contributions to worldwide advertising.
He was the president of the São Paulo Creative Club between 2007 and 2009.
Marcello was elected as the 2009 Communication Director by the Caboré Awards, where the voters are the subscribers of the Meio&Mensagem magazine, the biggest vehicle specialized in advertising in Brazil.
