Remember these feminist pro-slut people think they can be rational with rapists.

They assume

a) All men can rape (they cannot seem separate normal men from rapists)

b) rapists can be reasoned with controlled (that's why they think only men can stop rape)

c) rapists are afraid of the law

d) rapists never target anyone in specific

e) rapists only rape to enforce power on a woman not for their own sexual needs

f) rapists can be educated not to rape a woman because of how she dresses

Ok, so I would NEVER say that a woman or man deserves to be raped because they do x, y, and z - that is absolutely disgusting. But how is embracing the medias objectification of women feminism? How does this counteract the hypersexualized role women always seem to assume? I'm saddened by all the women who decided to give the people an eyeful as if this is some tawdry perfume commercial. Rape is a serious issue, you don't have to strip down to your skivvies to get attention.

Maybe a 'Slut Walk' isn't the best way to protest, but it's at least SOMETHING. This isn't about promoting women to dress like whores, this is about stopping the acceptance of rape under any circumstance. We can't end rape by telling our women to be ashamed of their sexuality, but we can make a huge difference once we make ALL rape inexcusable. Every time you legitimize why someone may have been raped, you let rape become that much closer to being acceptable in our society.
