Phila Folk Fest Dust Devil Tents 1

Thursday afternoon at the 2006 Philadelphia Folk Festival, while people were still setting up camp and not everything was staked down, a series of powerful dust devils picked up a bunch of tents like kites, spun them around high in the air, and dropped them somewhere over the treeline into the next field. The best part was the reaction from the crowds on the ground. Listen to the commentary, it's hilarious. This is the long video.

Dust devils can get pretty strong. About the same as an EF1 tornado at times.

Well, for one, the tents were appear to be unharmed. Two, given the nature of the folk fest, she was probably stoned.

Additionally, dust devils don't pick up buildings in "the hood." Tornadoes in your trailer park, maybe, but that's not the same thing.
