  • What is the best wide angle lens for my D3100?

  • That's like asking an author, "what's the best pen to write good stories?"... It depends on what you plan to use it, what's your budget, what you need and don't need, etc.. Take a look around this channel, there are a couple of wide angle lenses for you to do researching on.

  • would this be a good lens for my nikon d3000? And is it good for taking skating pictures?

  • We don't know? How about renting it out for a week or two to see if it suits you or not? Just remember this lens won't auto focus on your D3000.

  • @Lilkiwiguy87 why wont it auto focus?

  • D3000 lacks internal AF engine to drive the lens.

  • @Lilkiwiguy87 You re right! Landscapes would be the primal target...Let me browse yr channel. Thank you for your help!! Keep uploading useful videos!!

  • Thanks for the video review: you just saved me a ton of money! It's a good thing i resisted the "confirm bid" button at ebay for this lens.

I love the no-nonsense format of your assessment - not to mention, the Cannonball Adderley take on Autumn Leaves. Much more informative, without being clinical. Not too Hollywood (like uhm.. never mind) or too doze-off technical. Kudos!

  • Sorry, we cannot recommend anything but take a look at Zoom and Prime playlists; there are a lot of high quality wide angle lenses that you can choose from. If you like one or two, rent them out for a week or two to see which one suits you the best.

  • @Lilkiwiguy87 What would you recommend instead of this wide angle lense for the Nikon D80?
