Windows 7 automatically uses all cores available at boot. This is merely a test/debug feature that did "the rounds" last year.

Lol, these CPUS are already in use, this is used to detect if a core is malfunctioning by selecting core by core until you find the broken core. Silly kids and their multi processor placebos

It got a little bit more tight but still long.. win7 is already the fastest boot windows..
well except win98..

@CRAKIZGOOD could be that something other then the cpu is limiting the boot time... if you've got a low rpm boot drive or low ram that could be whats slowing it all down.

@CRAKIZGOOD well i have 32bit win7 i did notices that it boot it up a few seconds faster on my laptop
