People seem to only remember two fighting games from the nineties: Street Fighter II and Mortal Kombat. Which is a bit of a shame seeing as there were plenty of great fighters produced in that decade. Sega even attempted to enter the genre with their own fighting game Eternal Champions. Street Fighter II and Mortal Kombat stand the test of time, but does Eternal Champions?

  • Question. After you guys play a game and all say that you would continue,

Do you always actually keep playing?

  • Rax

The white version of Jax from Mortal Kombat.

  • @NESBzaafied That'd be the Sega CD version. Genesis version had finishers, but they weren't as gory.

  • That drive by finisher you guys mentioned? Paled in comparison to the woman at the counter getting angry over the fight being over and shotgunning the loser's face off. Man, this game is ridiculous.

  • I remember this! I loved me some Trident.

  • Larcen is fucking Hudson Hawk, I swear to God.

  • I JUST bought this as a suggestion after buying a refurbished Genesis. I really like it! Hard at first, but it gets easier to play after a while. I don't have the manual, but I read online that Rax is an abbreviation for Robotic Artificial eXoskeleton. The reason why MidKnight's stage is Veitnam is cause he was assigned to make a biological weapon that was intended to be poured into the water supply of North Vietnam during the war. Also, my favorite is Xavier. I love Witchcraft-like stuff lol

  • @dyldragon1 Rax, the female version of Jax from Mortal Kombat.

  • I bought this from a local used game shop, 99 cents, I got the box and manual too. It was alright, the concept was cool, especially the build a trap room thing. I don't own a 6 button Genesis controller though, so the game was pretty frustrating. I did not continue... :P

  • I love how the box says huge warriors...but they are next to a normal house in 2 of the stages.

  • I frigging love the epic moment music parts, ahahah

  • I don't know whether it was the sequel or the Sega CD version, but one of these were infamous for their Overkill finishers, the deaths were more gruesome than about anything even Mortal Kombat had to offer at the time.
