There are people call the R4 SDHC a fake, but in reality, it's a clone. Because the original R4 team has been sued by Nintendo, and has disbanded, while groups of people take the R4 name (and sometimes other people's work) and they make money from it. Sure, they function, but it's sometimes hard to differentiate between clones (and some of them aren't updated for newer games).

What kinda saddens me though is that the clone R4s sell more than the better cards (such as the Acekard or Supercard).

@BlooMassacre that's a good point. I'm looking to sell my R4 SDHC for an Acekard 2i. My wife has one and she seems to enjoy that.

How's the performance of the R4 SDHC? I don't have much money to buy a Cyclo or Acekard because in my country they are DAMN expensive. Mostly I want to use it for homebrew and Pokemon Diamond and Platinum. Thanks

Well, what's good about it is that the firmware is ACTUALLY being worked on, unlike the traditional R4. So always check the website for updates. If you don't mind having the traditional Nintendo DS Lite, then keep the R4/R4SDHC. But if you have a Nintendo DSi, then the R4 won't work. In such case, you'll have to get the Acekard2i.

hi there! I was just wondering, I have the original r4 (not the sdhc, but the r4 (NDSL/NDS)) and just started looking for new roms only to discover how obselete my piece of equipment is! is there any way to play new releases on my old r4, and any sites that might have a database of these? i know it's a long shot, but thanks!

@djdum434 dunno. back then it was the newest firmware. also my sdhc card (4gb) was also working, but i was using 2 gb, so i could put the 4gb in my phone :)

my r4 sdhc dosent load and when i take out the mem card it dosent say : cant find dsMENU.DAT but it just keeps saying loading plz HEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELLLLLPPPP MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!

i just got my r4 from a website, and it took 9 days to get here!

ok, heres my problem. I have a game and a sav file on a ds, and now i want to take the sav file and put it on another ds using that memory stick usb thingy, and i already have the same game on the other ds. How do i connect the tranfered sav file and the game? Cuz when i play, the game doesnt load up the sav file i put in. It makes me start a new game. ANY HELP WOULD BE USEFUL!
