Not as spectacular as some videos on YouTube, but...Part 1 is kind of slow. Just the storm approaching. Part 2 the tornado siren goes off and you can eventually see the funnel clouds take shape. The one that I focus on most of the time looks like just a bunch of clouds swirling for the most part. The other one which I turn to a couple of times starts to drop and form fast from the clouds and is darker. Both ended up being EF-1 tornados. One over Hwy 127 and the other over Hwy 639 in Clinton County, KY. I might suggest turning up the volume a little so as to be able to hear the storm better.

  • How close to your house was the Tornado? I didnt see it.

  • There were 3 tornados within 2 miles of my house with that storm. Two EF-1's and one EF-2 tornado. I wasn't able to get video of the actual tornados, but towards the end (before I go into the house) you can see some strong rotation in the clouds to the left of my house, that was where one of the tornados was. Then I panned a couple of times to the right and you can see a small dark funnel cloud starting to drop. That was the direction of another tornado

  • Why didn't you go to the basement or something instead of recording it?

  • ok...UPS seriously dude UPS in a tornado....i guess they dnt stop for nothing lol

  • my bf lives in Albany KY... uhm now im afraid to live there lol.. im terrified of twisters lol

  • Went around the downed trees and made it there. Went back to the trees in the middle of the road at 127. Got them cleared and went on to 829 and coon trail. It was intense. I did not even know that somebody had recorded it. Great job!

  • I was actually out weather spotting at that time. I left dispatch when they activated the tornado sirens. I got out to 3156 and seen the funnel cloud going over Cumberland Corner Mart. I turned around to go back to dispatch because I could not get them on my cell phone and that was when the one went across 127.

  • i was in school at this time there was one about a mile from my school at the same time as this one just about great video by the way

  • My husbands family is from Monticello, but his brother Dickie Richardson lives in Albany. I thought this was awesome. Thanks for the vid Mike

  • Actually EF is included in tornado ratings and stands for Enhanced Fujita. Just my 2 cents. :)
