Found this old Lincoln welder at garage sale. It had been in storage since 1997. Fresh gas and batteries and it lit right off. Onan CCKA engine is a little tired so a rebuild is in the future. Puts out rated 225 amps on a load bank. Not bad for a 32 year machine.
SAME AS THE ONE I JUST BOUGHT BUT WHERE IS THE ELECTRIC START? OR DO YOU HAVE TO INSTALL A STARTER??

If that one is like mine, it is a 24 volt system using 2 12 volt batteries.

Is the cranking system on this 12, or 24 volts? I have one, but have never installed batteries!

we have one from 1964 at school, i offered to get it running for my teacher, so i did, it didnt take much, runs like a champ too. and welds great. only thing is , we dont have the batteries hooked up for the electric start but its starts first pull. i have a wheelhorse from 1993 with a newer version of this engine. same block it appears but just more upgraded
