"illegal" is a little bit overkill. it is "against the rules." However, many things are "against the rules" in irish dancing, and a lot of it is enforced haphazardly. Have you seen anyone checking the denier of tights to see if it is 70 or more? Or even enforcing the hemline rule? I personally think the no videotaping rule is a little archaic. If the commission really wanted to get its act together and maintain its competitive edge, they should learn from Riverdance-advertising works.

Yeah. Colleen got 6th (if I remember correctly) at the SRO this year. She does well at NANs too.
