thanks for telling me where the Netgear logos are located on the router. and it was also helpful to see what each light indicated. you sound like you are about to cry or something though.

@thebikerboi2 oh i see, 5gz works well for me but i never use it, lol
-
@Cripto3333 well the 5GHz signal is at a higher frequency than the normal 2.4 ghz band, and the lower the frequency the more the sighnal will travel and bend round walls, so if you live in a premises with many thick walls the 5ghz band wont realy have as much coverage as the 2.4ghz band
-
@thebikerboi2 what problem?
-
@eddles777 your hard drive probably cant read/write faster than 135mb per second.
-
@anpippin what do u mean the right speed
-
@eddless777 it's probable due to what quality of network adaptor your using for your computer 802.11b/g/n/a

Found problem with the 5GHz during a phyisics class

Is this a common problem that hopefully Netgear will fix with the dgnd3300?
Thanks for listening and hope to hear what you all think.

hey people,
I've been messing with the wireless-n speed functions for the netgear dgnd3300 and it doesn't seem to go over 135mb when its capable of up to 300mb.
Ive enabled the adhoc 802.11n in the function properties but it hasn't changed.
Will this affect my speed slightly?
I've also tweaked the modem/router settings to have 300mb at 2.4ghz (still running at 135mb and nothing more) instead of 300mb at 5ghz (which only got me 54mb).
thx for the little review eandly someone putted a vid of this DGND3300 i just ordered it and i cudden't find any vid of it "live" .... anyway how is it ? i head a DGN2000 now it's broken the ethernet don't work anymore .....

I don't like it, because I'm an AT&T user and the DGND.xx routers don't go the right speed on AT&T. Wish I would've known that before I bought it.
