  • Isn't the colour due to seepage of iron??

  • what we learnt why you get a barge pole! It won't full ahead (no speed excess!), power off, hard starboard or port and swing around - like a handbrake turn in your car!

  • i walked past here every day on my way to school in the sixties.

  • Why is the water at the harecastle always orange, save for when heavy rain turns it a deep green.
