I didn't win "Princess Kay" itself, but I was one of the 12 finalists. I won in 2003. Actually I just got married and displayed my butterhead at my wedding.

Check out my video "rickidouglas" in the Youtube search engine.
It's a song written especially for Princess Kay and her court. It's called Carve Me up Butterhead, a parody of Build Me up Buttercup!

Some Princess Kay's have had their butterheads melted into blocks and donated to local food shelves.

The cows in question produce more than enough milk to feed a calf. Some dairies do feed pasturized milk from cows to calves, others use milk replacer, but all cows and calves are well care for.

I dunno if I should agree or not, it looks fun, at the same time I feel sorry for the cow who was gonna give that milk to her calf...

This is not wasted, in fact I had my head carved at the Minnesota State Fair as a Princess Kay Finalist in 2002....we were able to take all of the scraps home with us in pails and each of us were also able to take our butterheads home to share with our families at the end of the state fair.
