I had my band dec. 17th 2007 and am now 4.5 months post op and have lost 60lbs glad i got my band too! I got my first fill in january 08and it didn't hurt at all.

Luckily I checked to make sure that fills were bulk billed by medicare for my first appointment. The nurse said that you can barely feel it when they do a fill. I'm seeing my surgeon on Wednesday and will also be seeing my nutrionist for the first time. I'm so exicted! 8 weeks left of crazy eating until I have to do optifast for two weeks and then have the surgery on July 1st!~ This video has really boosted my spirits, you rock Ashley!! <3 Cass

thanks for sharing your story! I am in the pre op process of going for the lap band surgery and am very anxious at this point. I have gone for most of the pre-op testing and waiting for a surgery day. I just wanted to tell you how awesome it is to see the surgery in action so to speak-- it's wonderful to hear the true ups and downs of the surgery. You have no idea how much seeing your videos have helped me remain calm during this stressful time. Keep kickin butt and takin names Ash! :-)

The clinic I'd have to have fills at is 3 hrs away. Are fills/unfills emergencies at times? I'd hate to have it be an emergency and have to drive 3 hrs to someone to have them do what they need to do to the saline thingy.

I'm glad this is working for you. I have only had one fill so this vid was helpful b/c I was ready to get gastric. I guess I have to be patient but only losing 15 pounds and gaining 5lb back is discouraging. I'm in give up mode however I am trying real hard to bounce back.

Okay i have a question... seee.... im post op.. like barely a week. and i get hungry like every two or three hours. and i feel like a fat ass lmao. butttt..... idk, feeling hungry that ofteb is it normal?
