Which is purely due to Israel's security measures, including the blockade and the security barrier. During the second intifada, hundreds of Israelis were killed and thousands injured in shootings, suicide bombings and stabbings. Hamas, Islamic Jihad and the other major Palestinian groups are still a serious threat to human life, as they have proved by massacaring their own political opposition en masse.

I think the author was focussed on highlighting the plight of the Palestinians - not in putting forward a case for or against the situation. A lot of bad things happen in the world for many reasons... it doesn't mean that we can't focus on some of them without worrying or dissecting the why's and how's ...

You've left out the sections where Palestinians blow up buses and cafés, fire rockets onto Israel, run over pedestrians. You shouldn't have a hard time finding these clips on the net.
