This a timelapse of the August 27/28 lunar eclipse taken near Barber's Point on Oahu, Hawaii, away from the city lights of Honolulu. Each frame is approximate 20 seconds apart (was using the stopwatch on my cell phone to time it). I took it with my Canon EOS digital still 35mm with a telephoto on max zoom using a hood. The exposure setting for the first images was 1/2500, and during totality they were 1 sec. There is some interference from clouds, and a bit of shake from a light breeze. The vid goes quickly - the movement is of the moon moving across the sky (more the Earth rotating actually). I had to reset the position several times to keep up. I am working on a version where the moon is zoomed in to take up the full display area - but this requires finicky hand editing - so it won't be anytime soon!
nice!
